Fake email
A fake email address that is still a real inbox
When people ask for a fake email, they usually want an address that is not their name and will not fill their real inbox. SarabMail gives you that. The mailbox is real. It receives real messages. It is not a costume for someone else’s identity.
What the word is doing
“Fake” in this search means the address is not your personal one. You did not register it as your identity, and you do not plan to keep it. The mail server side is ordinary: a sender can deliver to it, and you can read the message.
It does not make a government ID, a bank profile, or another person’s name. Using an address to pretend you are someone else, to dodge a ban, or to harass anyone is outside the acceptable use rules.
What you can do with it
Create the address, copy it, and use it where a form demands email for a reason you do not care to keep. The free inbox lasts 1 hour. Messages are deleted with it.
Read the message in the sandbox. Images stay blocked until you load them. If you need the thread later, this was the wrong kind of address. Move that kind of signup to an inbox you keep.
What SarabMail will not do
It will not send mail, so it cannot be used to write to someone as if the temporary address were a person. It will not keep a free inbox past 1 hour.
Abuse reports go to abuse@sarabmail.com. The acceptable use page lists what the service is for, and what gets an inbox removed.
Fair uses of a stand-in address
A form that will not proceed
Some pages require an email and then market to it. A stand-in address takes the step without handing over the inbox you use for real life.
Separating a noisy signup
Keep the store, the school, and the bank on addresses you control. Use the temporary one for the rest.
Checking a product’s mail
If you are testing your own app, the API can create an inbox and wait for the message. That is a different page, aimed at software.
Questions about a fake email
Is a fake email the same as a temporary one?
On SarabMail, yes. The address works, receives mail, and then disappears. It is “fake” only as a stand-in for your personal inbox.
Can I pick the name?
You can choose the part before the @ sign, within the rules on the inbox: 3 to 32 Latin letters, numbers, dots, or hyphens. You cannot use sarabmail.com as the mail domain.
Can I use it to sign up as someone else?
No. Do not use it to impersonate a person, to commit fraud, or to evade a block. Those uses are prohibited, and the inbox can be removed.
Does the other site know the address is temporary?
Often they can tell from the domain, and some block those domains. SarabMail does not disguise the address as a personal mailbox at a big provider.
