10 minute mail
Short-lived mail, with the timer this site actually uses
People search for 10 minute mail when they want an address that will not still be collecting mail next week. SarabMail is in that category. The free inbox does not expire at ten minutes.
How long it really lasts
The free guest inbox lasts 1 hour. That is the lifetime configured for this site, and it is longer than ten minutes. When it ends, the address, messages, and attachments are deleted.
If you want the address gone before then, discard it on the inbox page. Discard deletes that mailbox immediately. Plus keeps mail for up to 30 days if you need the opposite, and Pro can keep one until you delete it.
What people use a ten-minute inbox for
The usual job is a gate: a download, a forum, a Wi-Fi page, or a code that arrives once. You need the message now, and you do not want the sender to have your real address afterward.
SarabMail covers that job. Open an address, copy it, wait for the message on the same page, and leave. You do not create a SarabMail account to do it.
When a short inbox is the wrong tool
If the other site will mail you again, a timer is a liability. Shipping updates, invoices, and login links after today need an address you still have.
Ten minutes is also tight for a slow sender. 1 hour gives the message more room to arrive. It is still a temporary inbox, and it still cannot send mail back.
A good fit
A page that blocks the next step
Use the address to get the one message, then discard the inbox if you do not want to wait for the timer.
Comparing a tool
Trial mail often continues after you have decided. A short inbox ends that stream.
A longer keep, on purpose
If 1 hour is not enough, the pricing page lists Plus and Pro. Those plans are for people. The API plans are for software.
Questions about 10 minute mail
Does SarabMail delete the inbox after 10 minutes?
No. The free inbox lasts 1 hour. You can discard it earlier. It is not a fixed ten-minute mailbox.
Can I extend the free timer?
The free lifetime is fixed at 1 hour. Plus stores mail for up to 30 days. Pro can keep an inbox until you delete it. Checkout is on the pricing page when Paddle is configured.
Does the countdown reset when mail arrives?
No. The expiry is set when the inbox is created. A new message does not add time.
Is this anonymous?
It avoids handing out your personal address. The browser session is remembered with a cookie so the inbox can be shown again, and the sites you contact still see you on their side.
